I just tried using touchGeo on a Samsung ATIV Smart PC Windows 8 tablet using IE 10, and found that I cannot pinch and zoom. I can pinch and zoom on maps.google.com though.

Then I tried a Samsung Galaxy Tab running Android 2.3.5 using the stock browser, and found the same problem -- no pinch and zoom.

However, when I tried an iPad Mini running iOS 6.02 using Safari, pinch and zoom worked without a problem.

For reference, I'm using a demo site that Benton set up for us: http://apps.mapdotnet.com/KHApp/index.html#map.

Is there some setting that I'm missing, or is this the way touchGeo works as of now?

Any word on this issue that I'm seeing? It would be helpful to know if anyone else has the same problem or if it is unique to the devices I was testing with.

    Thanks.

Well, Pinch to Zoom is working now on the Windows 8 tablet when I'm running the MapDotNet web services locally. Not sure if that is what makes it work or not though.

Chris, the pinch gesture is a client-side behavior that is independent of your services. A lot of work has been done on the HTML5 map control to support new touch (pointer) platforms so it may be you got your hands on a new version. Please see our latest blog on interim builds of the HTML5 map control.
