MapDotNet UX Help

Another feature of MapDotNet UX Studio is its ability to transfer data from one data source to another.  A shapefile, for example, can be exported to a SQL Server 2008 table.

Before you begin, make sure you have added your Source and Target data sources.  While the new table will be created during the process, the target database must be created before transferring.

Expand a data source and right click on the source table or shapefile.  Choose Export Data.

Specify the Server (NOTE: This is not the server where the data is stored, rather the instance of MapDotNet UX Web Services to which you are connected), Data Source, Table (or shapefile) and SRS (spatial reference system) of the Source.

Then specify the Server (NOTE: This is not the server where the data is stored, rather the instance of MapDotNet UX Web Services to which you are connected), Data Source, Table Name, SRS and Block Size of the Target.  Click the Start button and your data transfer will begin.
