OverviewThe MapDotNet Server 2007 installers are available for download at:
http://support.mapdotnet.com/downloads/default.aspx.
The download contains a Setup.exe file, the installer for the MapDotNet Server 2007 SDK, the installer for MapDotNet Server 2007 Web Services and a ReadMe file. ISC recommends running the Setup.exe to install that MapDotNet Server 2007 product. The Setup.exe includes information about the installation prerequisites.
Prerequisites
Currently the MapDotNet Server 2007 web services are supported on Windows Server 2003 and Windows XP. The MapDotNet Server SDK is supported on Windows XP and Windows Vista.
Note: The 6.1.2 version of the SDK and previous do not support Windows Vista.
The MapDotNet Server SDK, Web Services and the MapFile Generator require that Microsoft's .NET Framework 3.0 be installed. Additionally, the SDK and the MapFile Generator require
AJAX for ASP.NET 1.0.
Note: The MapDotNet Server installers contain redistributable installation packages of both of these frameworks. The installer will prompt you to install them if they are not detected on your system. Installation Steps
1. Run the Setup.exe file
2. Select the MDNS components to be installed
This dialog box explains the component features you are about to install.
Click the
Install button.
3. Follow the steps in the installer
4. Review the ReadMe included in the installation package
5. IIS 6.0 Important Note:
- It is required your MDNS web service reside in its own application pool with no other application or even any other instance of a MDNS web service
